Who We Are
The Western Himalayas have been a filmmaker’s dream for several decades. There is a period in Bollywood history when it was almost compulsory to have a scene shot in Kashmir. So many immortal scenes and songs and so many monumental landmarks of Indian films would be incomplete without those iconic shots on the Dal lake, in the rolling meadows of Sonmarg and Gulmarg, along the gushing streams of Pahalgam and the manicured lawns of the Nishat and Shalimar gardens.Something similar happened in Ladakh in the early 2000s. One shot along the pristine shores of Pangong Tso and the rest is history. With support from the local administration, great connectivity and an inherent aptitude of the local talent, Kashmir & Ladakh offer a unique opportunity for filmmakers & photographers across genres. He runs an experiential travel company (Karma Yatri) that focuses in motorcycle tours across the Himalayas.
